Staying safe at EnergyOne

You will probably never notice these ways EnergyOne defends you.

In this “new norm”, all EnergyOne gym members have to use SafeEntry to facilitate contact tracing, accept the reduced capacity of each gym and not be able to use the steam room and jacuzzi. But, here are some precautions that EnergyOne staff are doing to keep everyone safe.

Safe Management Officer and crowd monitoring

A safe management officer will be at each gym to closely monitor and ensure compliance by all gym users. Everyone’s safety is EnergyOne’s top priority and you can play your part by cooperating with the staff’s directions. With live updates on crowd levels, members who are planning to visit EnergyOne can get real time indications of the crowd at each EnergyOne gym with the mSAFRA app.

More Deep Daily Cleaning

Cleaners thoroughly scrub the EnergyOne gym from top to bottom, four times a day to ensure cleanliness of the equipment. All gym equipment and commonly touched surfaces are treated with SDPro, a self-disinfecting coating.

The SDPro antimicrobial coating kills viruses, bacteria and fungi when it comes into contact with the treated surfaces, but is safe on human skin. It is able to remain in place even with repeated cleaning, as it adheres firmly to surfaces at a molecular level, and can last for up to six months.

Step On It

To disinfect the shoe soles of EnergyOne users, sanitising mats are placed at all entrances to EnergyOne gyms. When you step onto the mat, disinfection solution is pushed into the treads of your footwear to sanitise it.

Nothing wrong with overkill in these times: Sanitising wipes are available through dispensers located at different parts of the gym. This is in addition to the hand sanitisers and the stepped up cleaning frequency of equipment and common areas.

The Machines Are Not Spoilt

The gym looks like a fresh new place! In order to maintain a physical distance of at least two metres apart, many of EnergyOne’s gym equipment have been re-positioned, while some are deactivated, to enable users to maintain the required distance.

Shields Between Cardio Equipment

Currently on trial at SAFRA Punggol EnergyOne gym, shields are an additional safety barrier to minimise the dispersion of respiratory droplets while gym users engage in high intensity workouts. These shields are applied with the SDPro self-disinfecting coating and cleaned frequently.

Streaming Fitness Programmes

Members can tune in to a wider range of online fitness programmes on the EnergyOne Facebook page. There are livestream training sessions ranging from strength to interval training workouts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These are be conducted by EnergyOne fitness instructors for everyone to squeeze in some exercise during lunchtime.

Extended membership

Affected EnergyOne Gym members will have their gym and IG membership validity periods automatically extended by a duration equivalent to mandated facility closures.

What You Can Do

You should consistently visit your preferred gym during this period to minimise the possibility of transmission across multiple gyms. You must wear a mask at all times, except when engaging in strenuous exercise, such as using the cardio machines.

Last but not least, one should not socialise and should minimise communication while in the gym.
