We Live In Time

Tobias (Garfield) is a recent divorcee whom Almut (Pugh), an up-and-coming chef, runs into – literally. She hits him with her car after he wanders onto the road, but thankfully he is not seriously injured. This “hit-cute” leads to an awkward first conversation in hospital that sparks into a deep romance, including long walks, carousel rides, parties, passion, pregnancy and parenthood. As they try to chart their future together, with their new plus-one, a desperate diagnosis forces them to re-examine their priorities, and savour life in the present more fully.
Andrew Garfield: All in Good Time
Known for his work as Spider-Man opposite Emma Stone, 41-year-old Garfield is a two-time Oscar nominee, a Golden Globe winner and a Tony Award winner in his prime.
The one after Tobey Maguire and the one before Tom Holland.
That is Andrew Garfield’s place in the sequence of Spider-Man actors who have donned the famous outfit in the last three decades.
Garfield, of course, played arguably his most widely-seen role as the web-slinging Avenger opposite Emma Stone from 2012 to 2014, and reprised the part – alongside Maguire and Holland – in 2021’s multiverse-bending Spider-Man: No Way Home.
As a young actor in England, Garfield first got involved in youth theatre and stage acting before making his television debut in 2005’s Sugar Rush. He also appeared alongside David Tennant in the beloved BBC sci-fi series, Doctor Who, in 2007.
That same year, at age 24, he won a BAFTA Award for Best Actor playing a killer released from prison in the television drama, Boy A.
In 2010, he co-starred in Never Let Me Go with Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley, playing a clone with a doomed fate, as well as in David Fincher’s The Social Network, as Eduardo Saverin, one of the co-founders of Facebook.
Following his stint as Spider-Man, he would go on to work with notable directors Martin Scorsese (Silence) and Mel Gibson (Hacksaw Ridge) in 2016. In fact, he received his first Academy Award nomination for Hacksaw Ridge, playing a combat medic in World War II.
Known for having a wide range, he would win the Tony Award in 2018 for his performance in the play Angels in America, and would four years later be nominated for the Oscar again, this time for playing the lead in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical film, Tick, Tick… Boom!
Garfield, now 41, can soon be seen in the romance We Live in Time with Florence Pugh, and is next expected to appear in Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming thriller After the Hunt, opposite Julia Roberts and Ayo Edebiri.

Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), now apprehended for the violent murders he perpetrated two years ago and remanded as a mental patient at Arkham State Hospital, continues to enjoy a cult popularity among hordes of discontented followers living in crime-ridden, economically depressed Gotham City. At the hospital, he meets Harleen (Gaga), a fellow inmate who is obsessed with his Joker persona. As they embark on a romantic relationship that is based on shared delusions, musical interludes and violent tendencies, the Joker’s supporters fight to free him.

Stuntman

Sam (Tung) is a legendary stunt choreographer once recognised as the best in his field during the golden era of 1980s Hong Kong action films. Having stepped away from the industry for 30 years, after a devastating accident that seriously injured a stuntman in his crew, Sam considers making a comeback, when a veteran director friend cajoles him for one last hurrah. As he returns to the world of stunt directing, he has to come to terms with how drastically the industry has changed, a feud with a former disciple, and his strained relationship with his daughter (Choi).
Greedy People

A small-town cop named Terry (Gordon-Levitt) tells another small-town cop, his new rookie partner Will (Patel), that nothing ever happens there. He also imparts one piece of advice: don’t kill anybody, unless you have to. Soon after, Terry finds a shaken Will at a crime scene with a woman he’s accidentally killed. He also discovers one million dollars in cash there and hatches a plan to fake a murder while he and his partner share the spoils. As they go through the motions of an investigation, the woman’s husband and a shady Colombian sniff around for the cash.
Ezra

Stars: Bobby Cannavale, Rose Byrne, Robert De Niro
Ezra is an autistic boy whose father Max (Cannavale) insists on taking him to comedy clubs, where Max performs stand-up sets. After nearly getting into an accident with a taxi, Ezra is mistakenly thought to have self-harming tendencies, which leads to Max, in his infinite wisdom, deciding to “kidnap” Ezra to the safety of the country. As Max’s ex-wife, Ezra’s mother, and the authorities catch wind of this, a search for the pair ensues. Amidst the chaos, Max gets a career break when the talkshow host Jimmy Kimmel invites Max to perform on his show.
Venom: The Last Dance

Fugitives on the run after the events of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, journalist Eddie Brock and his alien symbiote Venom (Tom Hardy) are pondering their next steps. Along the way, they dispose of criminals with ease using Venom’s considerable powers. Soon, they realise that the military are hot on their trail, as they seek to capture Venom, presumably to weaponise the symbiote. Brock and Venom later realise that aliens from Venom’s home world have found their way to Earth, and they are planning to kill them and wreak devastation on the planet.
