5 Swimming Pools For The Best Resort Vibes

Missing beach resort holidays? Chill out at these pools!

By Steve Thio        29 November 2021

It’s the school holidays, so take advantage of the recently relaxed measures that allow 5 persons to a group, and spend the day out with the family at one of these beautiful pools!

We’ve picked the ones with the best views, lush landscaping and water features that channel the vibes of those overseas holiday resorts we all miss. SAFRA members also get to enjoy exclusive entry to the pools at SAFRA clubhouses.

Here’s a list of pools you can check out during our hottest days:

SAFRA Yishun

Sited between low rise chalet-style buildings, the pool opens up to blue skies above. The thick greenery and towering trees bordering the space add a chill resort vibe. With the kids’ play area at one end of the pool, there are many areas to have a relaxing time just sunning, soaking and even napping on deck chairs!

Highlights:
– Kids will love the 25m rock wall features with in-built slides
– Take a breather on one of the many deck chairs
– Soak in views of the gorgeous greenery and soaring trees

SAFRA Toa Payoh

Like SAFRA Yishun, the pool here is bordered by the modern clubhouse building on one side and lush greenery on the other. There are no tall buildings to obscure the skies and natural scenery so swimming or sunbathing becomes a truly enjoyable experience! Best of all, there’s a wide variety of dining options a few steps away if you’re feeling peckish.

Highlights:
– Keep the little ones occupied at the water feature park with mini fountains and water jets and sprays
– Younger kids will love the wading pool with jet sprays from the water cannons

Pasir Ris Swimming Complex

Awarded the BCA 1000th Green Mark Award – Gold Plus, Pasir Ris Swimming Complex is designed to be environmentally conscious, with energy-saving and water-harvesting  features that help maintain the lush and leafy green walls (which help to reduce heat) and plants around the pool area. Beautifully designed with lovely green surroundings, the pool exudes a resort hotel vibe. Best of all, there’re plenty of features and activities to keep the kids occupied while you work on your tan!

Highlights:
– Fun kids’ pool with 2 slides and water play features
– Soothe your muscles at the relaxing jacuzzi pool

Tampines Swimming Complex

If you’re looking to swim and relax while enjoying lovely views of the surrounding urban landscape, then check out Tampines Swimming Complex. Located on the sixth level of Our Tampines Hub, there are 6 pools at the complex catering to leisure swimmers and kids as well as those training for water sports and games. The beautifully landscaped space evokes the mood and scenery of a garden in the sky!

Highlights:
– In case of stormy weather, there’s a sheltered competition pool
– Relaxing jacuzzi pool
– For children, there’s the interactive and pretty garden-themed wading pools with water misting “flower pots”!

Splash-N-Surf @ Singapore Sports Hub

Another rooftop pool is the relatively new Splash-N-Surf  at Singapore Sports Hub located above Kallang Wave, but be warned: the prices here are far steeper than the usual public pool rates. With the imposing Sports Hub dome and clear skies dominating the view, there’s a surreal, futuristic feel about the complex. Both adults and kids will love the many innovative and interactive features of this complex, including the Sting-Ray wave pool and ‘aquatecture’ kids’ water playground! But it’s the views of Marina Bay in the distance and the sea that really take your breath away.

Highlights:

– Kids’ Water Playground with ‘aquatecture’ featuring  slides, sprinklers and other water play features (temporarily closed till further notice)
– Fun kids’ pool with interactive features
 – Stingray wave pool that allows you to do half-pipe surfing, bodyboarding and even skimboarding! Prices for Stingray start from $30 and up.
