What’s New In September

This September, cheer on as babies race, play a round of cartoon-inspired mini-golf, and buy cakes from a vending machine!

By Diana Najm        9 September 2022

With every new month comes the need to discover new things to do, restaurants and bakeries to try, and new product releases to satisfy your need for retail therapy. What’s more, the September holidays are here, which means more bonding time for the fam.

From swimming challenges for a good cause to mini-golf inspired by Pixar movies, these are the best new happenings in Singapore this September 2022.

Swim For Hope 2022

“Just keep swimming, just keep swimming,” is a line fans of the Finding Nemo movie would be familiar with. With SAFRA’s annual Swim For Hope returning this September, you can do that and for a good cause too.

The event has now expanded to all five swimming pools at the SAFRA clubs and you can set a target for your fundraising amount, which will go towards charity. This year, the swim marathon will adopt a hybrid format, where you choose to either swim virtually at your preferred time and place, or select a physical swim slot at a preferred SAFRA Club to complete your last 1km of swim. All you have to do is register and clock the laps with your friends and family.

You can also show your support by taking part in “More Than A Box”, where you can purchase a box of goodies with the proceeds going to the beneficiaries, or by making an online donation through your participating friends and family members.

Registration is open from now till 30 September 2022.

Swim period (virtual): Till 30 Oct 2022; Swim period (physical): Selected weekends in Oct 2022
