SAFRA Engagement Forum 2021: Living In An Endemic Singapore

Don't miss this Facebook Live event that will cover key issues for most Singaporeans.

By Steve Thio        27 September 2021

As Singapore moves from the Covid-19 pandemic to the ‘new’ normal of living in an endemic, how future-ready are we? What should we be aware of and how can we start planning?

This SAFRA Facebook Live Event will focus on the topics of financial sustainability, mental wellness and food sustainability, issues that every Singaporean worries about as we move forward into an endemic future.

(L-R) John Cheng, Eugene Seah, Erin Lee

The featured speakers are:

John Cheng, Founder and Managing Director of Innovate 360 & Co-founder and Chairman of Feed 9 Billion
Eugene Seah, Mindset Speaker and Abundance Life Coach
Erin Lee, Founder of Mindful Moments and a Mindfulness Coach

Log on to find out more about the following topics:

Food Sustainability

Third generation business owner John Cheng transformed a traditional business into one of Singapore’s leading food accelerators and ecosystem players enabling food sustainability. Hear from him as he talks about his passion and how he used the business to help some of Singapore’s food startups and establish an ecosystem to feed 9.8 billion people.

“We should think about consuming more responsibly. The world would be a better place if we could feed 9.8 billion people by 2050 – the year experts predict when there would be too many people and too little food to feed them.” – John Cheng, Founder and Managing Director of Innovate 360 & Co-founder and Chairman of Feed 9 Billion

Financial Sustainability

During the pandemic, many Singaporeans lost their jobs. Creating multiple income streams allows an individual to have various cash flow sources. This puts them in a better position to be prepared if one source of income fails during the endemic. Abundance Life Coach and Executive Financial Consultant Eugene Seah will also share about some income streams which are much more risky and dangerous than they appear on the surface.

“We can prepare for the ongoing disruptions and future uncertainties in an endemic situation now. These are the 3 areas of improvements I consciously made to move into a new career path and embrace a new world: changing our Mindset, Mastery of new skills and Managing money” – Eugene Seah, Mindset Speaker and Abundance Life Coach

Mental Wellness

With the current Covid-19 situation adversely affecting our collective health and wellbeing, many of us may not know how to cope with increasing feelings of helplessness, isolation and grief. In this session, Mindfulness Coach Erin Lee shares the benefits of practising mindful self-compassion in times of change and uncertainty, and explains how the skills of mindfulness and attitudes of compassion are essential for regulating our emotions, understanding common human experiences, and finding connection in the world we inhabit.

“It is essential to approach wellbeing holistically, and consider what shifts we could make to take care of ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and even spiritually.” – Erin Lee, Founder of Mindful Moments and a Mindfulness Coach
