National Day Parade 2019

The National Day Parade returns to the Padang to celebrate 54 years of independence of our island nation and commemorate Singapore’s bicentennial. This year’s theme is “Our Singapore”, which calls on Singaporeans to come together and be pioneers of its future. Look out for the Singapore Armed Forces contingent in the Parade and Ceremony segment, as well as the return of the NDP mobile column.

Singapore Night Festival

Night owls who happen to be art fans will love the Singapore Night Festival 2019, which will be held in the Bras Basah and Bugis precinct. Over the week, soak up an immersive experience in the arts and heritage district, which becomes transformed into a nocturnal landscape of sights and sounds. For arts and culture aficionados, there will be plenty of street and music performances by local and international acts. Don’t miss the highlight – visual light spectacles comprising provocative light installations that turn the facades of local museums into literal works of art.

Singapore Food Festival

The Singapore Food Festival (SFF) is one of the most widely anticipated events for locals and tourists. A celebration of the island state’s multicultural heritage, the annual event returns for its 26th edition. One of the top highlights of this year’s programmes is STREAT, a pop-up concept that marks its return as SFF’s anchor event for the fifth year. STREAT, held over two days from 12 to 13 July at The Promontory, features a rousing line-up of food establishments focusing on local Singaporean culinary flavours, a retail market and culinary workshops.

Great Singapore Sale 2019

This year’s edition – titled “GSS: Experience Singapore” – will focus on local talents, featuring emerging brands in retail, food and beverage, and art and design. Highlights of the GSS include a “TGIF!” shopping spree, which will be held every Friday over the six-week-long event with sales and discounts aplenty by participating businesses; a Fashion Scramble showcase on Orchard Road; and The Great Singapore Street Pop-up with unique retail and culinary experiences.
