1. JUwei Old Nanyang Coffee Shop
Located at SAFRA@29 Carpenter St, JUwei Old Nanyang Coffee Shop specialises in long-cherished dishes made from traditional recipes. For a light meal or snack, choose from kaya and butter toast sets, Portuguese tarts, youtiao with kaya dip, prawn paste fried chicken, and cheong fun (steamed rice noodles with fillings). 2. Zaffron Kitchen
Craving something spicy? The award-winning Zaffron Kitchen offers North Indian dishes that are perfect for sharing. Start with samosas and papadums, and then order a few serves of naan or prata, before savouring a tasty tandoori dish or curry. 3. KPO Cafe Bar
Conveniently located on Killiney Road near Orchard, this lively watering hole is the perfect venue to enjoy some bar food and drinks. KPO is surrounded by lush greenery, so you’ll barely feel like you’re in the heart of town. When it comes to snacks, choose from fried pork cubes served with a spicy garlic sauce, satay, truffle fries, chicken wings, and fried calamari. 4. Escape Restaurant
One Farrer Hotel is home to Escape Restaurant, a chic dining venue that offers both indoor and outdoor (poolside) seating. The menu features Western and Asian favourites with a twist, such as smoked duck pasta carbonara, braised Moroccan lamb shank, mala prawn pasta, Maine lobster laksa, and steak hor fun with black bean sauce. If you prefer something lighter, order a salad or some bar snacks. The beverage menu is just as varied, with a range of mocktails, tropical cocktails, margaritas, beers and spirits to pick from.

5. Prata Wala
This quick-service, halal-certified restaurant provides delicious, value-for-money, North and South Indian cuisine in a modern setting. Located in Jurong Point mall, Prata Wala has beloved dishes like roti prata with various fillings, including butter chicken, garlic, cheese, egg, mutton and onion, and heartier meals like biryani and tandoori-cooked meats. Lighter options include thosai, chapati, and traditional snacks like samosa and vadai. 6. Harry’s
Founded in 1992, Harry’s began as a cosy pub in a shophouse in Boat Quay. Today, this bar and dining establishment has grown to over 18 outlets across the island, making it one of Singapore’s longest-standing food and beverage brands. Besides the live music performances and other fun events, people flock to Harry’s for their tasty bar nibbles and meals.
