Whether you’re a wizard or muggle, be sure to sample some of the wizarding world’s sweet treats. Chef’s recommendations here are the cafe’s Golden Wings, which is a mango and milk chocolate mousse with vanilla sponge cake; Wizard’s Secret Message, a chocolate Swiss roll with a vanilla owl macaron; as well as an assortment of artisan sweets from the magical universe. If you prefer savoury mains, the cafe’s Crabmeat Aglio Olio and Charing Cross Road Prime Rib-eye are said to be favourites too.

Located at Minden Road within Dempsey Hill, the cafe offers patrons a walk on the wild side with a glamping experience complete with its signature pastries and beverages. Originally from Portland, USA, Slappy Cakes is a make-your-own dining concept with griddles at every table for diners to create and draw their very own pancake designs. Tucked away near the entrance of the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, the 40-seater eco-conscious cafe was formed to specifically instil a love for nature in children. The cafe offers an all-day brunch menu which includes creatively-presented pancakes and mains for the little ones.

Parents overseeing restless kids will love that the intimate space comes with an interactive play area as well as a reading nook. Plus, visit Little Spot at the right time, and you may be able to participate in the various parent-child activities organised by the cafe every quarter. The activities are created to mainly encourage families to learn from and with one another.
