Why You Have to Join The Newest EnergyOne Gym at SAFRA Choa Chu Kang

The EnergyOne gym, like its members, keeps getting better and stronger!

If someone could describe an affordable, modern, and ever-growing gym on a notepad, they would need just one word: “EnergyOne”. With the opening of its latest gym at SAFRA Choa Chu Kang, EnergyOne has surpassed expectations with an expanded offering of state-of-the-art exercise equipment, proprietary fitness classes, and enhanced comfort. This gym is, arguably, one of EnergyOne’s most ambitious projects yet, with something novel for all new, existing, and returning members.

If anything, its newest and seventh outlet is a manifestation of the successes of its six current outlets, accentuating what members love about EnergyOne while spotlighting its expansive potential.

Have yet to visit EnergyOne’s newest gym? Well, here is a sneak peak at some of its  coolest features. Spoiler – they’re all great!

Its most spacious gym yet

EnergyOne has just gotten way bigger, both metaphorically and literally.

Exemplifying Choa Chu Kang SAFRA’s ‘fitness oasis’ mantra, EnergyOne’s newest fitness centre stretches for an area of 18,000 square feet and is decked with an impressive range of modern fitness apparatus. It is the largest and most capacious studio to date, surpassing its Punggol outlet which occupies 16,000 square feet.

Twice the workout in the west

Westies itching to work their muscles can finally rejoice, as this fitness studio at the heart of Choa Chu Kang joins its sister branch at SAFRA Jurong to energise the West! Like its sister outlet, this newly-opened centre is furnished with shower rooms, locker spaces, a steam room, and more!

The Journey to the West just became twice as enjoyable!

Give your muscles a run for their money

Housing well-known fitness brands such as Hammer Strength, Life Fitness and Precor, EnergyOne gym’s latest addition boasts a diverse range of multifaceted exercise equipment designed to provide a more personalised and comprehensive user experience.

Take, for example, the power racks that the gym just recently brought in. They can accommodate a versatile mix of strength-based and high-intensity exercises, allowing you to squeeze in bench presses, squats, and more while working in your strength training routines.

The entire area has also been meticulously segmented so that each space is centred around a core function. From cardio reps and muscle building to endurance training, the studio is designed to be optimally functional and comfortably conducive for members to tailor their workout preferences.

Hammer Strength certified gym

Fun Fact – EnergyOne is the first community gym in Singapore to be accredited by the Hammer Strength Training Centre. Fitness experts would contend that Hammer Strength represents the pinnacle of athletic excellence, having created a catalogue of exercise equipment capable of replicating human free-weight movement. Not only do they promise greater consistency in power distribution, but they are also designed to be intuitive and user-friendly.

EnergyOne is one of the few community gyms in Singapore to house some of Hammer Strength’s most impactful equipment. One such apparatus is the high-performing LSO lateral plate-loaded equipment, designed for seasoned members looking to push their limits.

Fitness enthusiasts would be thrilled to know that EnergyOne’s studio at Choa Chu Kang will carry its most extensive line-up of Hammer Strength equipment yet, with a sizeable space dedicated solely to these machines.

For beginners and veterans alike

The enhanced diversity of equipment and facilities is also well-suited for newcomers. EnergyOne’s arsenal of exercise tools encourages gradual and steady progression, allowing less experienced gym-goers to start slow and easy before exploring more advanced training variants.

A great illustration of this is its newly introduced range of pin-loaded machines, often requested by members because of its intuitive functionality.  Deemed as the stepping stone to more intense free-weight and plate-based strength training, this is just one of the many beginner-friendly tools members can utilise to better understand their core muscles and the training that complements them.

Both beginners and veterans can also sign up for some of the studio’s new group-fitness experiences, which encompass an array of functional training programmes based on three workout styles.

Fight it out in The Ring

It’s hard not to notice the fighting ring installed prominently at the front of the gym, especially when combatants are fervently throwing punches at one another. Defining itself as an integrated fitness hub, this gym studio would be the first inception of this concept as EnergyOne takes on other forms of exercise to spice up the conventional gym workout.

In addition to its existing offerings, this outlet offers a revamped series of classes for members – subject to a The Ring membership supplement – which includes boxing and Muay Thai sparring sessions at The Ring, and many more.

Special Mention: A beautiful vista of the clubhouse

There’s a special surprise for treadmill and spinning fanatics!

While running/spinning, you’ll be presented with a gorgeous panorama of SAFRA’s newest clubhouse, featuring an unobstructed view of some of its most impressive facilities like the sheltered infinity swimming pool and futsal court.

Simply breathtaking!
