And if you’re in need of supper after a game of tennis or bowling, know that Springleaf Prata Place is open till 10pm from Sundays to Thursdays, and even till 12am on Fridays and Saturdays, serving up some delicious Indian food. You can’t go wrong with prata – there are plenty of choices from egg onion and cheese to coin prata. 

But those aren’t your only options here. There’s also briyani and maggi goreng, as well as a la carte dishes like masala chicken and lamb shank. End off your meal with a dessert prata, or wash it all down with drinks like Halia Chino or Banana Lassi.

For a breather away from the hustle and bustle of the city, head to Yishun Pond Park. Here, you’ll find Slow Bakes, a cafe specialising in handmade pastries and coffee. In fact, it was highly recommended by the staff from SAFRA Yishun.

The cafe has a quaint atmosphere and overlooks the pond. Prices are pretty affordable too – you can get avocado on sourdough bread for $2.80 and a breakfast set for $4.50, inclusive of 2 soft boiled eggs and a drink.

If you’re not familiar with the brand, know that it’s famous for having some of the best cheesecakes in Singapore. Another that came with rave reviews from SAFRA Yishun staff is Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang, a Muslim-owned nasi lemak cooked Indonesian-style. Located at Yishun Park Hawker Centre, you’ll be sure to be able to tuck into mouthwatering dishes at reasonable prices starting from $6. 

Not sure what to order? A no-brainer is the eponymous Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang, which comes with chicken, an egg, rice, ikan bilis, peanuts, cucumber, and nasi lemak sambal. If you’re a big eater, there’s also the nasi lemak jumbo, which comes loaded with an additional otah, fishcake, and sausage.
