It almost feels like 2024 just started, and before we know it, we’re entering the third month of the year. This March, there are plenty of happenings around our sunny island, proving yet again that Singapore isn’t as boring as some people think. 

As the March school holidays roll in, the fun ramps up with workshops, events, and promotions for the whole fam. Foodies will also enjoy the vibrant Ramadan bazaars and new dining spots in town. All you have to do is save these events to your calendar, and round up the whole gang.

This March school holidays, there are a ton of events and activities at SAFRA clubs to keep the kids entertained: 

  • FUNquatics: Make a splash at FUNquatics, happening at SAFRA Tampines from 9am to 3pm on 9 March. Look forward to activities like Inflatable Bouncy Castle, Stand Up Paddle Board tryouts, Flippa Ball sessions, and various aqua fitness sessions including Aqua Spin, FloatFit, and Aqua Tabata.   • SAFRA Yishun – School’s Out, Fun’s In: Head over to SAFRA Yishun on 16 March for a family-bonding day.   • Canvas Ark March School Holidays Workshops: Spark your child’s creativity at Canvas Ark’s workshops, themed around classic animated films. Held from 12 to 15 March at SAFRA Toa Payoh and SAFRA Choa Chu Kang, these workshops are suitable for kids aged 7 to 12 years old. One Kampong Gelams vibrant Ramadan celebrations is now on till 5 April. Themed Gemilang Kampong Gelam, this year’s event promises an immersive experience with special collaborations with Sultan Mosque to commemorate its Bicentennial.

Foodies can indulge in over 107 local food stalls, offering a curated array of delicacies for breaking fast, as well as Hari Raya shopping selections. The festivities kick off with cultural performances on 6 March, followed by a grand mass Iftar on 23 March along Arab Street, set to be the largest in Kampong Gelam’s history.

Art lovers, don’t miss the cultural heritage of Kampong Gelam through the ‘Three Arch Design’ exhibition at Sultan Gate Park, unveiling lesser-known stories of the area’s evolution. At Sultan Mosque, a mesmerising light show brings to life tales of the mosque’s past since the 1800s, every weekend from Friday to Sunday at 7.30 pm. The evenings are filled with live performances, podcasts, and open-air screenings of local documentaries at Sultan Gate Park.
