The EnergyOne (E1) gym at SAFRA Punggol has just concluded a month-long renovation to allow you access to a greater variety of not just any exercise machines, but better yet, Hammer Strength fitness equipment. Officially branded as Punggol’s newest and most well-equipped Hammer Strength Training Centre, this E1 studio is packed with fitness apparatus that are incredibly versatile, with personalised options for both new and experienced gym users to tailor their experience according to their fitness pursuits.

Hammer Strength equipment
An industrial pioneer of premium biomechanical strength training equipment since 1989, Hammer Strength is acclaimed by fitness experts for its durability and intensity. Able to target core muscles that the conventional gym machine can’t reach, their machines enable elite athletes to push past their limits so that they can become stronger and more confident.
But Hammer Strength machines are not intended for just elite athletes, but anyone who possesses the determination and will to train like one. If you have fitness resolutions that you are bent on achieving, you probably cannot find a more curated and result-oriented space than a Hammer Strength Training Centre.
Specifically, for E1 at SAFRA Punggol, patrons can now avail themselves of premium equipment such as:
Hammer Strength Bicep Curl, which concentrates a lot of your body’s momentum on your biceps so that the intensity is much more focused and centralised.
Hammer Strength V Squat, a machine designed to keep your back in a fixed position so that you can perform deeper squats without straining your lower back and knees.
Beginners looking to kickstart or restart their exercise routines have an abundance of options here as well.
Hammer Strength Linear Hack Squat has a guided track for users to maintain a squatting motion so that they can work on their quadriceps safely, as the track provides the stability and support needed for the movement.
Hammer Strength Belt Squat is perfect for individuals with back concerns as it allows users to focus on lower body muscles without the spinal strain often associated with traditional squats.
It is especially important to note that not every gym can attain a Hammer Strength endorsement. In order for one to be considered a Hammer Strength Training Centre, it has to carry at least 15 qualified Hammer Strength products. Currently, E1 at SAFRA Punggol is one of just three Hammer Strength Training Centres in Singapore.
A fitness melting pot
Upon stepping into what is one of E1’s largest gyms, patrons would find a more illuminated and refreshing exercise space. Decked with an array of newly installed LED lights, the entire gym comes alive with hues of warm yellow and luminous white to better represent the vibrancy that is E1.
Ultimately, E1 is designed to accommodate the diverse set of the fitness community’s needs, so that no one feels alienated by overly complicated exercise machines. Many E1 machines, including those at SAFRA Punggol, have QR codes which users can scan for online tutorials on how they can safely and effectively operate the exercise equipment.
“We want everyone to feel like there is something here for them at E1,” says Abdillah Shah, Gym Manager for all of E1’s studios. “We hope this reopening can also serve as a testing ground to better identify what our patrons want in a gym and manifest that need in other ways. Already, we are exploring other themes and ideas, such as exercise machines specially catered for our women patrons.”
