There’s nothing quite like getting your hands dirty together to build memorable family bonds. Cooking or baking together can be educational and fun for children of all ages, and you get to enjoy the delicious results together afterwards!
We recently joined a baking class at SAFRA Punggol conducted by Memorable Recipes by Traditional Bakes, where parent-child teams went all in creating their own spooky Halloween cupcakes. Try out their recipe below:
Ingredients (for 6 cupcakes)
- 100g unsalted butter
- 100g sugar
- 100g egg
- 100g plain flour
- Vanilla essence
Steps
- Beat butter and sugar together for 5 minutes
- Add in egg slowly, then add in flour
- Add a few drops of vanilla essence
- Bake at 200°C for 18 to 20 minutes. Cupcakes are done when a skewer comes out clean
- Use ready-made fondant icing, mix in your choice of colour and decorate your cupcakes
