Level Up Your Me-Time By Heading To A Spa!

Chill, calm and pamper yourself at these 3 health, beauty and wellness sanctuaries

By Chris Ong        28 August 2021

We do owe it to ourselves to have our pockets of calm, personal time-outs just to relax so that we can re-collect and re-energise ourselves. And, it’s best to take that much-needed break elsewhere if you’ve either been where working from home or whiling away weekends cooped up indoors. If you have the time and resources to spare, why not spend a couple of hours (or even a whole day) at a spa? You can melt away a tensed-up body through massage, clean up and beautify through facials, and ease your mind through relaxing spa rituals. Make today your spa day and de-stress at any of these 3 oases for the mind, body and soul.

Atos Wellness

Having been in the business of beauty and well-being for decades, Atos Wellness offers a whole suite of different experiences for every type of spa-goer. Luckily, its offerings are categorised simply for ease-of-choice; face, body or spa services, under which, are treatments grouped according to type. For instance, under face services, there are facials grouped under “regular facial for rejuvenation”, “moisturising facials”, “age-defying facials”, “facial slimming & tightening” and “lightening facial”.

Our picks from each service: The super quick but ultra luxurious 15-minute Flexi Luxe Facial (under “moisturising facials”) uses 99.9% colloidal gold flakes and a mask with 70 LED lights to help with firmness and radiance; the 60-minute Turkish Sensorial Delight Body Therapy (a “wellness” body treatment) brings together light rhythmic manual lymphatic massage, essential oils, deep sea salt and ostrich feathers to unwind knotted-up bodies; and the Boreh Treatment (one of the “premium spa therapies”) is a “gourmet” experience, what with the use of ginger, star anise, galangal, kunyit, Javanese ginger and pale turmeric spices blended into a paste that’s used as a body wrap to aid in skin detoxification, blood circulation and relief from headaches and rheumatism. Just take note – Atos Wellness is in the midst of completing a consolidation of its spa studios and services (including new hair salon treatments!) so do look up its site or call its tele-concierge to find out the latest deets and prices.
