Are there even any distinguishing differences between sports wear, street wear and athleisure at all, now? (Answer: Not really). Do we even need to bother differentiating, since they are all made to be comfy and functional enough to swag in everyday? (Answer: Nope). And do we want celebrity-driven, endorsed or co-conceptualised fashion lines? Y-to-the-es, to the yes, yes, yes.

With no further adieu, here are your newest star-made and star-making fashion collections to cop now: the newest adidas x Ivy Park drop from Queen Bey; minimalist street wear by fashionable footballer Hector Bellerín and fast-fashion giant H&M; two-sets-to-love collabs by tennis comeback king, Roger Federer; and what The Rock’s now cooking with Under Armour.

adidas x Ivy Park’s Icy Park collection

Hot girls (and boys), time to get icy! Superstar Beyoncé’s third outing with adidas is spilling with so much fashion drip, we don’t even know where to start. Think of this as wintertime street wear but made stylish enough to rock for the summer. So what’s the garment formation like? The styles come in five fit types: women’s tight, women’s regular, women’s oversized, gender-neutral regular fit and gender-neutral oversized fit. Plus, the range goes from XS to 4XL. Which means: Every. Body. Gets. It.

On to the specifics. The clothes come in a few key colours and prints: powder blue, hot pink, white, grey, brown (plain and monogram) and multi-colour graphics. A quick sort-and-filter through the styles: short and long tights; latex pants, bodysuits and dresses, all manners of headgear from bucket hats to beanies to caps and even trapper hats; cargo shorts, track pants and hoodies; all kinds of jackets from faux fur coats to track jackets to cropped puffer jackets; and oodles, oodles, more. Oh, and also shoes – the Ultra Boost OG, Forum Mid and Super Sleek 72 sneakers; and a Super Sleek Boot, all in “Core White”. With this expansive collection, Queen Bey proves that even when she does fashion, she goes big and hits hard.

Enquire at specialist adidas brand stockists such as Chamber by Limited Edt (435 Orchard Road, Wisma Atria, #03-24 to 29, 238877, limitededt.com/collections/chamber; www.facebook.com/CHAMBER-100716288248737; www.instagram.com/chamber_sg), or visit online e-tailers for availability. ivypark.com

Edition by Héctor Bellerín, H&M

One of the beautiful game’s most stylish players is not only one of Arsenal’s fastest on the pitch, but also one of the most handsomest on the runway (he walked for Virgil Abloh’s SS20 Louis Vuitton show). And now, Bellerín’s added a designer-feather in his cap with a capsule collection collab with H&M. Taking inspiration from his new-found appreciation of plants on walks during the quarantine and from his wardrobe (think Martine Rose, LV and Burberry), Bellerín inputted graphics, colours, prints, silhouettes and even styling ideas into the collection, making it a true reflection of his sartorial self. What makes this even truer; the collection’s made from organic cotton and recycled materials such as nylon and polyester, which is definitely in alignment with the sustainability-conscious values of this social and environmental activist, and vegan footballer.

Enough about this young Spaniard sportsman; do the clothes make the “goal”? It’s an all-round yesh to the fresh-fash. Oversized silhouettes, minimalist cuts, muted earth tones and positive-vibing slogans abound. The highlights: a lightweight concrete-grey field parka with a concealed hood and flap pockets; a sun-yellow button-up collared knit short-sleeve shirt; brown printed check accessories such as a five-panel cap and a tote bag; a variation of roomy, wide-cut bottoms; and a Tencel navy resort shirt (it’s Bellerín’s fave). The collection’s stuffed with the kind of laidback-cool that soccer + fashion-obsessed boyfs, hubs and boyfriend jeans-loving gal-pals would so approve and love.

Available at H&M stores, multiple locations, www2.hm.com/en_asia2

Roger Federer & Uniqlo 2021 capsule collection; and The ROGER Collection, On

Okay, so he might have lost to Nikoloz Basilashvili in the quarter finals at the 2021 Qatar ExxonMobil Open just last week, in his comeback after a 13-month hiatus following his knee surgeries. But, the Fed Express is on a winning roll in the fashion stakes.

His first trophy: the new capsule collection by Uniqlo. As per usual, the retail giant’s Global Brand Ambassador worked with its Paris R&D centre and Uniqlo U’s Artistic Director Christophe Lemaire on the latest limited edition collection (of which its products are also now branded as “RF” since Federer won back his iconic “RF” branding logo from Nike just last year after a two-year legal tussle). And this is what he wore for his court appearances at Doha for the Open; the RF DRY-EX Polo Shirt, in both off-white and dark green. Made from the brand’s fast-drying DRY-EX material recycled from PET bottles and featuring mapped mesh panels to enhance breathability, these tops are all-performance, no-sweat.

Plus, the massively popular RF cap collection (8 colourways of which were only released in December last year) sees the addition of an off-white (with embroidered dark green RF logo) and a dark green (with embroidered off-white RF logo) colourway to complement the polos. There’s also a kids range of the same polos, too, so you and the kiddo can go twinning and toe-to-toe, fashion-wise.

The Swiss sportsman’s 2nd grand slam is a sneaker series with Swiss performance footwear brand On called – in the spirit of his nicknames – THE ROGER Collection. Since the announcement of their partnership in late 2019, “Fed-On” (we gave them a couple name) have released a total of 4 models. The first’s THE ROGER Centre Court, a clean tennis-inspired sneaker with a classic, crisp vegan leather and mesh upper, and a bottom half created with the brand’s Speedboard plate and CloudTec cushioning system, that’s fitted with a gum sole. THE ROGER Advantage’s designed in the same minimalist vein and boasts the same tech, just without the gum sole and with more colour accents, such as “Flare” orange and “Cobalt” blue.

The ROGER Pro is the first actual competition-worthy tennis shoe that Federer wore on-court for his comeback matches, that’s built with a solid midsole fashioned from high-density foam, a cage around the midfoot and other such fancy tech. Problem is, it’s made just for The Man himself; we will just have to cross our fingers and wait for mass-produced ones to be blessed upon the rest of us mortals. In the meanwhile, make do with THE ROGER Clubhouse, a lifestyle-looker for those enamoured with all things athleisure.

For Roger Federer & Uniqlo 2021 Capsule Collection: Enquire for availability at Uniqlo outlets, multiple locations, www.uniqlo.com.sg. The highlights are the footwear: two new colourways for the Project Rock 3 (PR3) line, a fresh Blood.Sweat.Respect. (BSR) sneaker and a pair of cosy slides.

The PR3 sneaks come in a High-Vis Yellow/Black (for the men) and Mod Grey/High-Vis Yellow (for the women), both fitted with the UA HOVR midsole cushioning tech to reduce impact, a UA TriBase footbed for support, and an updated knit bootie for a comfier and snuggier fit. The Unisex UA Project Rock BSR training shoe model debuts with 3 colour iterations (red, white and black), offering UA’s Charged Cushioning for absorbing impact along with its proprietary TriBase feature. Rounding up the footwear drop, is a tough-as-heck-looking black slides that’s equipped with a Michelin Wild Gripper sole which utilises traction lugs for grip and traction (so it’s like monster truck tyres, but for your feet).

What else we dig: the all-black, all-business, Brahma Bull-adorned caps; the one-size-fits-all duffle backpack that comes with a large gusseted shoe/laundry pocket at the base; and the Legacy windbreaker jacket that’s cut loose for better comfort and constructed with its water-repelling yet breathable UA Storm tech (just one more desirable piece to add to the list of windbreakers here).
