Finding parking is a pain in crowded Singapore \u2013 all motorists who own a vehicle know this. Instead of relying on just your skills as a driver (we are not doubting you, btw), try utilising some digital tech. Install and use these handy car park apps to save time, money and yourself the frustration of a futile search.<\/p>\n

The days of perforated parking coupons are over; here\u2019s the app to make sure you never tear out the wrong amount. Developed by the Government Technology Agency,\u00a0 Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and Housing Development Board (HDB), it\u2019s totally legit and easy to use. Enter your credit card details, your car number and the car park code. Then, state your estimated parking duration and the amount will be calculated. Running late? The app will notify you 10 minutes before the duration ends with the option to extend. Done early? You will get a prorated refund on any unused parking time. Do note though, that there could be delayed notifications for users of China brand phones.<\/p>\n

Powered by information from popular car site sgCarMart.com and Land Transport Authority (LTA), this app allows you to look for car park rates all over the island. There are rates for some 700-plus listed car park locations in its database, plus functions that assist in locating the cheapest parking around where you are and real-time updates about available lots at key car parks. But, if you prefer referring to good \u2019old print, there is a yearly version available at major petrol stations.<\/p>\n

This award-winning app in Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore\u2019s 2011 AppVenture Challenge may be \u201chumble and small\u201d (as its makers call it), but it has enough vroom to keep it running well enough for Android users. All the basic functions are here: parking rate comparisons; search capabilities for lots in the Orchard, Marina Centre, Jurong Lake District and HarbourFront areas; and a Google Maps navigation feature to help guide you to your parking destination. Plus-point: It\u2019s supposedly quite the useful app for motorcyclists as well.<\/p>\n

Okay, so this is the go-to app for all things flat-related. But this official stat board app also offers services for buying, renewing, transferring and terminating HDB season-parking. For the unlucky ones, \u201cluckily\u201d you can also find out the status of and pay for any HDB parking summons. Of course, you can access information on HDB\u2019s car park locations and lot availability, too.<\/p>\n

While you many know of this application as a one-stop service of the Singapore Government for residents to report municipal issues, you might not have gone through all of its features to realise that there are some that vehicle owners can use, too. The \u201cFind Parking\u201d feature allows you to locate nearby commercial and public car parks, with relevant information on rates, operating hours and height clearance details. Its \u201cStart Parking\u201d feature meanwhile, lends added convenience by giving you seamless access to the Parking.sg app for car park payment transactions. You can even look up the oneservice.sg site\u2019s FAQ page to see how to use these functions. Nifty.<\/p>\n
