Car enthusiasts are in for a treat this coming August as the US Legend Cars series drives its inaugural mark onto Singapore\u2019s <\/span>circuits. <\/span><\/p>\n

Taking place from 11 to 13 August as part of the motorsports event Goodstock Speedfest, this is the first time this venerable racing event is held in Asia. NASCAR drivers from all around the globe \u2013 such as Akinori Ogata from Japan \u2013 will race to the finish line on a specially constructed quarter mile oval raceway at the Changi Exhibition Centre. The event will also be graced by the one and only legendary stunt driver, Terry Grant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In partnership with this exciting event, SAFRA will be hosting a series of roadshows with Goodstock Speedfest at its clubhouses for the whole month of June. <\/span>From inspiring displays to electrifying mini races, there is just so much for you and your family of car fanatics to feast your eyes on!<\/span><\/p>\n

Up close and personal<\/h3>\n

These exhibitions <\/span>at SAFRA<\/span> will<\/span> showcase the best of what alternate motorsports has to offer. Scale models of NASCAR stock cars, which first made an appearance circa 1930, are adorned with a lightweight fibreglass body and a modern engine capable of putting out exhilarating speeds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Known in Spanish as the \u2018Bandit car\u2019, the Bandolero series consists of miniature stock cars built for racers as young as 8 years old in the US. Do not overlook these little powerhouses, as they can perform impressive stunts when helmed by a brilliant driver (who are in abundance during Speedfest!). Feeling restless just looking at these timeless masterpieces? Well, go ahead and sit in the car for the full immersive experience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll even get to experience some racing action in the Mini Car Races, which will be taking place at SAFRA Yishun, Toa Payoh, Punggol and Tampines!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
